Double Extension Ladder ( 4.92m - 8.83m )
Extension Ladders are industrial double or triple section aluminium ladders extending up to a maximum height of 9m.
A rope pulley system is used on larger versions of ladders for safe usage.
Health and Safety Guidelines
- Always plan your work before using a ladder.
- A ladder should only be used for the load and purpose for which it is designed.
- A ladder should not have scaffold boards laid on its rungs.
- Only one person at a time should be climbing a ladder.
- It can be dangerous for a person to carry loose tools manually up or down a ladder because they may be unable to grip the stiles; this is one of the most common causes of overbalancing, light tools should be carried in a holster attached to a belt, or in a tool bag, other tools and materials should be raised or lowered on a rope.
- Whenever you are carrying a ladder, keep the front end above head height.
- Do not put a ladder on top of boxes, bricks, barrels or any other unstable surface just to gain extra height.
- Do not climb higher than the fourth rung from the top of any ladder.
- Do not use ladders on ice, snow or other slippery surfaces without securing the feet of the ladder.
